KARAKAYA HEPP TURBINE DESIGN

This project includes the detailed CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) study for Karakaya HEPP and the evaluations to be made as a result of this study and the determination of the rehabilitation scope of the hydraulic turbine. Precise measurements of the snail, blades and suction pipe made in unit 5 of Karakaya Dam and solid models created from the technical drawings of the turbine were compared. It was seen that the measurements confirmed the solid models drawn from the sheets, and solid models drawn from the sheets were used as the mathematical model in computational fluid analysis.
