- IPA 2013 Analysis of Hydro Power Generation Facilities Pilot Project (CS01C)
The IPA 2013 Analysis of Hydro Power Generation Facilities Pilot Project built a real-time performance monitoring system in two HPPs to determine the performance loss of hydraulic turbines and other primary auxiliary equipment over time.
The project carried out activities such as operation analysis, measurement tools analysis and evaluation of unit design on production equipments. Further evaluations, such as visual control, maintenance records and interviews with the practitioners were also utilised to prepare a final report, summarizing the findings and proposed areas for improvements.

- IPA 2013 Energy Efficiency in Electricity Generation
In the energy sector program, Hatch Ltd. with a Canadian company and SUIS Project Eng. Cons. Co. Ltd. together with SU-ENER Engineering and Energy Services Industry and Trade Ltd. Co. from Turkey carried out the IPA 2013 Energy Efficiency in Electricity Generation Project. The project aims to assess energy efficiency improvements in selected EUAS Hydro Power Plants (HPPs). The scope of the project includes measurement and evaluation of performance deteriorations in turbines, energy efficiency analysis and determination of necessary rehabilitation works, including their cost estimates. With the inclusion of Keban, Özlüce, Kralkızı ve Hirfanlı HPPs, a total of 18 HPPs are assessed under the project activities.
